Come learn the ins and outs of grafting fruit trees. Luke Robinson will spend the first half hour teaching participants about the history of grafting, how this can be a useful tool, and the techniques involved. The next two and a half hours will first consist of grafting demos followed by participants practicing grafting. The end of the workshop then will be the real deal where participants actually graft onto a semi-dwarf apple rootstock using scion wood of top performing genetics for our climate; i.e. black mac, carol, and newer varieties distributed by the USDA.
Participants will leave with their grafted fruit tree and feel confident in their future grafting endeavors. This is a skills building workshop. The cost to attend this three hour workshop is $30.
